(quoted from post at 10:44:17 03/18/16) Just bought a 560d and it won't roll start? Kill shut off was cut before I purchased. Whitch was Is on and off on injection pump?
(quoted from post at 14:18:20 03/18/16) it puffs a little smoke I Hurd some people have had to roll start em over1/2 mile
(quoted from post at 14:21:49 03/18/16) i bought it knowing it was ran a month before pull started but when I got it home I found out I also need a new starter Can I crack the injectors and see if it's getting fuel? The fuel shut of was also unhooked bc of previous owner that roll started it and the cable was froze so he cut it to shut off
(quoted from post at 14:39:14 03/18/16) It was on action I really don't k previous all fluids looked great
(quoted from post at 14:56:43 03/18/16) what oil do u recommend putting in oil bath? I'm purchasing the books today
(quoted from post at 14:44:03 03/18/16) If the glow plugs show
they are working on the
indicator and drawing
enough amps to be sure
they are ALL working,
and the shut off lever
on the injection pump is
pushed towards the front
of the injection pump
(run position) and you
are pulling it, it
should start. You could
crack a couple injector
lines to be sure fuel is
getting up to the
injection pump. If you
do have fuel to the
pump, but no farther
when the shut off lever
is in run position
(forward), then you most
likely have a stuck
delivery valve or
plunger inside your
injection pump. Might
not be too far out of
line, if there was water
in the air cleaner oil
cup, was there water in
the fuel
rusting/sticking things
up? As stated, If you
have fuel to the
injectors, the glow
plugs are all working,
it SHOULD start if
you're pulling it or
using a the starter. You
can check the glow plugs
with a meter, if they
are open, they are junk.
Make sure they all have
12 volts to them. Don't
use the glow plugs while
having it hooked up to a
vehicle with jumper
cables, they seem to be
pretty sensitive to
voltage and burning out,
and are not cheap.
