Water in hydraulic system

Any Ideas how water keeps getting into my hydraulic system?

Maybe rain water if it sets outside, missing shifter boots, maybe condensation. Just guesses - just like guessing what tractor or machine you have and what might be hooked to it for hydraulic equipment.

A few times every year I have water running off the outside of my tractors and other machines that are kept under cover. This tells me that I have condensation on the inside as well. When snowmobiling we try to gas up near the end of the day. One time when we didn't, and we drove a short distance in the morning to a gas station, when I removed the gas cap there was a lot of frost under it. Do you ever get condensation where you live?
