third party image

Found this nice picture on Redpower.I think its a 403 IH Hillside combine.

In 2001 I was out in Idaho,Oregon, and Washington where they farm in some pretty spectacular country.Harvest was just starting so didnt get to see many hillside combines in action.I would love to drive one someday.

Go to farmphoto.com and search for redpainter in the search box. He has several pages with old sidehill and hillside machines to look at. Mostly IH but thats what I like.

I didn't even know combines could do that. I thought all a side hill combine had extra was dividers on the straw walkers to keep everything from sliding to one side.

It would be intresting to see how all of them linkages work, probably gets pretty complicated.

I hope you did at least ask Alex if you could post all his stuff. Those pics are still the property of Combine Talk Forums. I'm sure he does not mind, but wants to be at least ASKED first.

I know 98j, and he is NOT willing to sell any of his photos [even the posted ones], so before posting any more links to his stuff, you should ask him as well.

I've already been to 98j to see if I could use his pics in a story I'm trying to sell to a major magazine. NO way!

Nuts from what I understand you have to copyright them or anyone can use them. You wont see me post pictures that have someones name or copyright on them or you can get in big trouble.98j better copyright his stuff if he doesnt want it used.

Linking there is no different than visiting there which anyone can do.

I have posted many-many of my own pictures on the internet for years and have seen them used elsewhere many-many times. They have even been on ebay.

This 403 picture is from Redpower.

I forgot to mention that I know of lots of old combine pictures on the internet that I cant show anyone because they are copyrighted with the owners name on them. They have them for sale.I can still link you to them but thats all.If it wasnt for links lots of people would never find stuff. All the search links in the world dont seem to turn up some things.

I have even seen one copyrighted picture posted on Alex's forum and it hasnt been removed.

98j better get his pictures copyrighted as someone someday will use them for monetary gain without his permission and theres not much he could do about it.That would be crappy! As nice as his pictures are he could sell lots of them.

Well, I just don't want to see anyone get into a fray over unauthorized posting. Maybe he does not care. Maybe the stuff IS copyrighted. I just don't know. I'm not really sure what the deal is about link-postings. Maybe it's all okay, since the link does go directly back to the Combine Talk Forum. Alex would sure be the one to know, too.

Nuts,to be copyrighted the pictures have to have a name or trademark on them or when the pictures are put on the internet the owner has to state that they are not to be reused without the owners permission.Otherwise they belong to anyone that sees them.

I've seen this discussed many times before.Usually its on pictures that are used to sell items on ebay.Lots of pictures are pirated but theres nothing you can do.

The only way they dont like links on here is if the site you are linking to competes against this one.If it werent for links lots wouldnt find Alex's combine forum.
