Put new cross member on plow. The old one was two in. square- new one is 2.25. Old one was too short because I widened the plow and I had this bigger chunk in my steel rack. Had to modify the way it attaches to the beams.------Tee

Find a place on your own property that is hidden from any neighbors or onlookers to save yourself some embaresment from taking it to that plow day and finding you cannot move it as soon as you drop it in the ground. That tractor might handle 5 bottoms, not 6 and the 4 would have been better as then you might have been able to keep up with those big boys in speed instead of trying to craul along in the lowest gear you have.

Awesome work so far. I have the same plow set up as a 6 bottom as well. Whoever did mine set it up as an "on land" hitch and not an in furrow hitch (but maybe they all were set up that way, I'm not overly familiar)

I pull mine with a turboed 930 Case, and it handles it very well. I figure the Case is around 125 horses. In light dirt I can run in third, in heavy ground I run second. I run out of traction long before I run out of power, but I have nearly bald rubber on the tractor. Tractor has duals, and inner wheels are loaded down, tractor weighs in at about 12,000 with me on it, minus duals. With new rubber it would do better.

If there's anything I can offer to help you along let me know. I don't post very often, but I hang out on here a lot.
