As asked for, here are some old MM pulling pictures from 1969-1971.

I took the top picture in 1969 at Pleasant Hill,ILL.Its the late Bill Newlons G-1000 MM puller from Prophetstown,ILL.Its a turboed 800 on LP making about 450 horses. It pulled the 15,000 lb Unlimited class in Illinois. There were 4-5 other MM pullers in ILL just like it.MM helped them some.I have pictures of several of them but my scanner isnt working.

The middle picture was taken by me at Bethany,MO in 1970-71 is Charles DeClercks G-1000 MM puller from Taylorsville,ILL.It had a turboed 504 engine on LP and made 400-500 horses and was pulled in the 12,000 lb class. It won Louisville in 1970.It would have won the 12,000 lb class at the 1969 M&W Pull but a busted hub put in to 2nd place behind a 1206 IH.

The bottom picture I believe is Don Nolan from Owaneco,ILL on his G-1050 MM puller. This is at Spencer,IA in 1971 and I didnt take the picture. It was a 504 on LP and pulled the 12,000 lb class.

it sure looks orange if you ever run a gas tractor at night with a good load behind it shut the lights off and look at the muffler it will be a dull orange

Great pictures, thanks for posting. I can't imagine how much setups like that would pull. Dads vista is just a standard 504 and it has always pulled well, we no longer use a lot anymore, just light yard work, this picture was a few years back when we still used it in the field. Dad got in back in 78 and originally came out of Dutton, MT. It later broke a piston, and when he went to overhaul it found it had .60 over pistons and jugs. He was not able to find replacements like thes so he swithed back to standard bore, it has been a very good machine for us.

Great photos. Does anyone have any pics of Al Arnold's AC 220 that won at Louisville in the biggest class around 71 and 72. He was one of the first to run the 30.5 x 32's and they were just monsters compared to the 24.5's most ran at the time. He raised the bar, and I recall 5 through pulls in those 2 years to win the class. One hot Allis! Great memories. Walter

Awesome! Dad has some pictures of Nolans and Jennings tractors from the mid seventies somewhere I should try to post them sometime. It would be alot of fun to set one up like this for farm stock again.

Here are some more pictures from Louisville in 1971.I did not take these.

Luke, dig out those old pictures from the 1970's.Lots of us would love to see them.If you have any pictures of Myron Riddle from Tuscola,ILL on a 1206 Farmall I want to see it.Also I'm hunting a picture of the "Red Bone Coon Skinner" 1206 puller owned by the late Barns McKinnon from Pleasant Hill.ILL.

If I remember right lots of the MM pullers ran out of Jennings Implement Co at Bement,ILL.The tractors were advertised as having Smull and Jennings LP turbo set ups on them.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is the stack on the red tractor as orange as a tomato?
