Anyone that has resleeved a John Deere powerblock, are both of
the bores for the sleeves at the front (head) and the back (case
end) the same or did they put a narrow bore up front and tapper
the sleeve? Thanks in advance.

Most of those are cracked inside when you get the sleeve out so check closely. We quit resleeving them for that reason.

Yeah but there isnt much for alternative blocks currently that doesnt require a specific cylinder head. So Im going to try to save it if I can.

How big are y0u wanting to go? We have a good selection of stock G blocks and some A's that can be bored.

Everything is there to run the power block, just needs to be resleeved. I certainly wouldnt want to go any smaller.

Not sure what son is doing with A blocks bore wise. Hard to find good ones that aren't cracked near the top when you start boring them. We have been taking some G blocks to 6.5 inches. Most will do 6 3/8.

Was the G at Tunica, with the primer nose cap, using your parts. He could accelerate going 10 maybe 12 mph. Think he was second in the St. Judes pull. Shook the building. There was quite a few big G's and A's. They must be breeding.

The casting hole and sleeve diameter at the top of the TSC 6-1 Powerblock was 6.563 inches and they ran that diameter to within 1.5 inches of the BOTTOM face of the block where the outside diameter of the sleeve increased about .003 . Then you have that big ledge with a diameter of 6.8845 . In back of that ledge is the final 2.950 inches of sleeve. No "taper" on sleeve from top to bottom.

I have one of these 6-1 blocks that I purchased from DENGLER in December 1986. Has orig. sleeves in it and orig. yellow paint. Those blocks were cast by the RICHLAND corporation (I Think) somewhere in Wisconsin.
