Farmall C Spark Plugs

I've seen a lot of discussion here about what plugs to use in these old tractors. I needed new plugs for my C. It had Champion D-21 in it. Went to TSC and they only had two of the D-21 plugs. So...I started looking at cross references, etc and ended up with D-16 plugs. To me they look the same as the D-21. Put them in and the miss it had is gone. Runs like a top. Can anyone tell me the difference between the D-21 and D-16 plugs???
