You need to bring No1 piston up on the compression stroke to TDC. Have someone hand crank the engine while you hold your over thumb over the sparkplug hole until you feel pressure against your thumb. When you feel this pressure look for the notch on your damper pulley and slowly keep cranking the engine until the notch is aligned with the pointer. The engine should be at TDC on the compression stroke. Rotate the rotor in the distributor to the No1 plug tower and install on the engine. Hal
