Battery cable- I have a 1952 B John Deere. Is there an easy way to feed the negative cable down to the starter? The cable feeds along side the frame of the tractor and eventually through the frame. I am at the stage that I think I will have to remove the starter in order to get the cable through the frame.
Flywheel cover - when looking at the flywheel cover it appears that it has two parts. The main part being the cover itself and the second part being a section that holds the starter plunger. Is the piece that holds the starter plunger supposed to separate from the main flywheel cover? If so, it would expedite the removal of the flywheel cover without having to remove the starter. Also, might make it easier to feed the battery cable.
