I was wondering how you folks think about changing an older 6volt tractor to 12 volts? I have two Case Vac's with 6 volt systems and I changed them both to 12 volts and kept All the OLD parts. (Gen., wire, Voltage Reg., etc.) Just in-case I would want to show them or go back to the original system. They were always hard starting with 6volts even tho I had a good gen. and bat. in them but now they start and run so Great its nice to go out to the barn and when I want to use them they start rite up just like my cars and truck. My friends say they would Never Change their tractors over to 12 volts even tho every time they want to start them they have to push or jump them with a booster. JUST wondering how the rest of you folks think????
