Want to thank everyone for coming to the rescue. Got some excellent suggestions, which I will check out while at the 'puter store this afternoon. But best of all, it triggered significant dialogue that is/will be viewed by a lot of residents of this site/visitors and I know it will help them deal with these problems facing all of us.
