I have a 210b with a backhoe that I have 2 broke spool plungers in the Hydreco 6 spool hydraulic valve assembly. Is there and easy fix for this problem or do I need to take off the entire housing off and replace the entire thing or would anybody have any used ones or even new one that I could get more info on? Also what is the recommended fluid for the front loader because my book says nothing on this, it will only lift 5 feet and then will not go any higher. They told me to use transmission fluid type A. I still believe that I should have listened to my instincts and put AW32 hydraulic fluid in it. Any info on all the fluids recommended throughout the tractor would be greatly appreciated.

I"ll try to help. This has the hydraulic pump in the torque tube (correct?). The control valve spools were never available. Parts fit tolerance is too close. If you had two complete valves I don"t think spools would interchange. The later backhoe control valves bolt together in sections and a section could be replaced. My early 530 hoe has same control valve and the hoe drifts because of wear in the valves. I"ve looked for a new control valve but haven"t found one so far. My pump is external & I use AW32 (10 weight). I think a multi-viscosity like the Case oil would be best. Trans fluid is multi-viscosity but I"ve never tried that either. The problem I see using other control valves is the secondary relief pressure settings, these protect the cylinder from bending. Best, Dennis..... ...
