Just bought a 1973 580 CK with backhoe and loader. I am concerned about weight. I have seen / heard a range of things all the way from #8,550 in a prior posting on this site to #14,000 by talking to a Case dealer. My truck can only handle #12,500 so I really need to have an accurate number. Does anyone have a document, or a 580 CK that they have weighed themsleves to confirm the weight? Also, if I had to reduce weight by taking some stuff off the tractor (and taking two trips), any guesses, or actual numbers about the loader weight? or how much does the Backhoe weighs? Finally, any ideas on where the center of gravity is for the complete unit? How about just the tractor without the backhoe and loader?
All help really appreciated!!!!!

I got the folling information from another source. Posted here incase anyone is interested:

Hi Andy that information i quote directly from the National Farm &power Equipment Dealers Association "Industrial Equipment Guide" that every dealers in north America use and still use today because this books also gives you the factory price of all those equipment coming out of the factory and also gives you the price to pay for used equipmednt as is or depending on the year. in other word I do not think of anything else more reliable. We always used it when we did trade. A 580CK with the loader is weighing 6262lbs. and a 580CK with the loader and the backhoe with a 24" bucket is weighing 10,289 lbs for diesel   and 10,089lbs for gaz . They don't list the weigh of the bucket alone but you can fairly guess it at 400 lbs. Hope this to be helpful. Jcmarleau.
