When my 2090 PS transmision is not completly warmed up it does not shift down properly. It shifts up to second and high just fine, and shifts from high to second fine also. The problem is when I shift from second to low. It will not shift down at all. When I push the clutch pedal down the rear wheels slide to a stop. If I wait about 15 seconds the C-3 releases and you can start all over again. Once it runs for about an hour and warms up completly it works just fine. My question is do I just need to adjust the C-3 retard screw about 1/6 of a turn CCW or do I have a valve that is sticking, or is there some other problem? Thanks DK

You need to fit 4 gauges in the test ports for each clutch pack. We do have problems from time to time with sticking valves. This will show up with the oil not dumping correctly when shifting gears. And this way you will know which valve is causing the problem. Usually it will be one valve.
Barry.
