I am just curious and would like to know what my 52 H would weigh. It has 4 rear wheel weights and a 300# 3 pt. hitch. How much more weight would adding fluid to the rear tires add and approx. how much does it cost? What would a front end loader for it weigh? Could I use the loader efficiently with just 4 weights and the hitch of should I load the tires?...Or would I be better off to have the weights and then fill a barrel with concrete and put it on the hitch? Sorry about all the questions but I trying to see what setup I should use for the loader. Thanks in advance!!

RC

I have a 51h. It has a total of 4 rear wheel weights, three point hitch,no fluid in tires and no front loader. My H should weigh about the same as yours. I weighed it at a local gravel pit to be 5200lb. hope this helps. Tony S

Hi. I have a 51 H with a model 31 McCormick loader on it. The tractor has 1 set of rear wheel weights and loaded tires, and it does fine. I think that if you are having to put 2 sets of weights and a barrel of concrete on it, you'll probably end up blowing the front tires, breaking the loader, or tearing up something else. If I remember right you also have a model 31,remember,they were probably made to load manure into the spreader,or,something like that, not REALLY heavy stuff.I'd hate to see somebody get hurt,or tear up a good tractor/break a loader.

I have a modified FORD loader on my Super H. From YEARS ago the bare tractor with rear fluid & 1 set of weights weighed 5250#. Fluid weight depends on tire size of course. 11 X 38 is the same as 12.4 X 38 and hold about 550# each if calcium chloride is used at maximum recommended concentration. So My bare tractor weight is about 3850#. Your tractor should be similar. I have plenty of weight on the back to handle the loader. I used it a couple yrs ago to move crushed rock. I could get the bucket heaping full, 40" wide X 36" long bucket heaped full. It did steer kinda hard. For most Non-loader uses it doesn't steer that much harder with the loader. Just run your frt tires really hard - High air pressure.

Your H is getting close to 5,000 pounds. I had a New Idea front end loader on Old Red H for several years. I had double wheel weights on the back and had no problems with it. Fluid in the tires would not be necessary. Keep in mind it will be a BEAR to stear!
