Jason, split the tractor and replace the core plug on the left hand side, behind the flywheel. If you have a lift to pick the engine off, and some moderate mechanical skills, it's really not very hard to do. And then it will be fixed right.

I would be leary of any kind of sealer gunk dumped into the radiator because an A probably won't have a water pump and you don't want to plug up the small water passages in the block.

Red Dave the pepper won't stop anything up except maybe the leak. It dont always work on them, but most of the time if its not to bad it will. I do agree that it should be fixed right. I put pepper in mine because I didn't have time to fix it right then and it worked so well I haven't fixed it yet no leaks. I have used this on many occasions it is a lot better than the stop leak you can buy.

Jason pour a can of fine ground black pepper in radiator and run it see what happens. Let us know if it stops. I had a super C freeze and push a freeze plug part of way out it leaked from same place it took two cans of pepper but it stopped that was 10years ago and it has not leaked since.

Most likely a rusted out soft plug (improperly called freeze plugs) on the back of the engine. Split to repair, Sorry JimN
