Hello,

My Dad has my great grandfather's 1945 Farmall Model A(pretty sure thats the year, serial number is FAA134308)and he is considering selling it but not sure what the going price for it would be. It has an electric start & runs good. I can get more details or pictures if needed for assessing value. Any knowledgable info is greatly appreciated! THANKS!

Keep in mind that these are hard to track down and buy back down the road when you get to wishing you had grand dads old tractor back. I have a 50 Cub that belonged to my paternal grandfather and the 54 ford 600 that was my maternal grandfathers and wouldn't dream of selling either even at a war price. Just my thoughts on the matter.

True value will be found by putting multiple pictures and maybe even a short video of the tractor up on an eBay auction with no reserve.

I've seen running A's go for anywhere from $600 to $2500 depending on paint, leaks, tires, etc.

If you can, Keep It. The value it has to the history of the family can only grow. If it runs and If it is pretty straight, with tires that have tread and little cracking, mid way between 1000 and 2000 seems reasonable. Pictures help, as does other elements like jumping out of gear, and PTO, and leaks, and smoke. JimN
