On the rear outer axle housing the outer bearing does not seem to have any way of lubricating it. Is this true or how do you lube it?

On the C, the only lubrication for the outer axle bearing is the grease fitting out there on the end of the axle carrier. Actually the fitting is on the bearing retainer that bolts to the end of the axle carrier. There is a seal where the axle enters the transmission housing that is supposed to keep any transmission oil from getting into the axle carrier. In actual practice, many times the seal is bad and lets the transmission oil get into the axle carrier and eventually leak if the gaskets and seals are not good. So give the fitting at outside end a few shots of grease. The manual says to grease them every 10 hours of operation. Can't see why they would need it that often though.

The grease fittings are there but it seems like the outer seal will stop any grease from getting to the bearing?

Surely you don't think they are there for no reason do you. I gurantee if you put grease in the fittings it will get to the bearing.

If there is no grease fitting on the ends of axles they have been broken off. They should be on the top side.
