Perhaps you need a larger tank. I have 29 of these open top 1900 gal poly tanks.

Man....that tank would really suit me. I could dunk some very very large pieces in and just walk away for a while. Cool. Really good. What are these tanks designed for. Where can I get one. I have one of those electrical line trucks with a winch boom on it. Man, I could just put it outside the shop somewhere, winch it up and dunk it and be in business.

Yep, I think an entire tractor would fit. See my other post for more details.

If I had time, it would be fun to fill the tank and submerge a derelict F400 that I have. It should fit without the wheels.

Are they for sale? Where are the tanks located? What's the diameter and height? What's the wall thickness? How much per each? Finally, do you know the chemical composition?

For sale: yes

Location: Tewksbury. MA 01876

Diameter as shown: 84"

Height as shown: 94"

Wall thickness: unknown without destructive testing (drilling). There are non-destructive testing methods but I don't have the equipment. I assume 3/8" to 1/2". Strong enough to hold water to full height @ 100 degrees. Temperature rating is probably conserative.

Tank resin is Escorene LL-8400 mfdg by Exxon. It is a medium density linear polyethylene designed for rotational molding applications. I have the data sheet.

Perhaps the Mainiac term seemed odd? As one born and raised in Maine, it is a name we happily apply to ourselves and don't mind in the least being called it by others. Probably sounds odd.

(That tank would make me a real nice gravity-feed watering tank! If the lining is food-grade, sugar producers pay near $1 per gallon.)

Your perceptions are your problem. If you thought it was a personal attack, you were wrong.

I will say that I cannot understand why a citizen of this country doesn't know the state letter codes. They have been around since 1965.

Every time I use the two letter code, I have to ask myself if the audience will understand. I am not the only one. Many residents still use MASS so as not to confuse others. I choose not to "dumb down" my state's ID.
