Draining Rear End

For all of you draining the rear end on an H, make note that all the junk will NOT come out when the carcus is sittling level. I lifted up the front end with the winch and took out the plug and anohter 2 quarts of bad stuff came out.

Yeah. The M is same way. Last year I took the top plate off and cleaned it real good. It's amazaing how much junk can be stored behind the bull gears. My wheel seals started leaking after I changed the fluid. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because both inner axel bearings were toast. That is when I found all the junk built up behind the bull gears. There are a lot of reinforcement ribs that run just about parallel to ground. If you want to clean it out good you really should take the top plate off. That's a leason I learned the hard way.
