Neat pics and were taken not long ago. This family still uses these tractors and has for years. They live just down the road from my familys farm near Sheridan, IN and have been making sorghum syrup since 1913. I think the cane topper is an old corn detassler they may have gotten from Pioneer in Tipton,IN.

Bob, I saw those in another post a few minutes ago. I love to see that Farmall's are still working. It would be neat to know how many are working after all these years. There are several right around here. Most of them are for cultivating, but some of us use them for every day work as well. I keep 4 or 5 going all the time.

There are several still going at it around there. There used to be 2 brothers who didn't have a car or truck and drove their M everywhere they needed to go. Both of them had wild hair and long beards and I seriously doubt they took a bath once a month. they would come to town once in a blue moon on it.We nick named them "the nugent brothers" because they looked like Ted Nugent. Where I live now, there are a few doing service, but not much more than pulling grain wagons or running augers. there used to be an H that a guy bushogged with for people, but he passed away a few years ago and the family won't sell or use the tractor. it just sits. The M I got came from just down the road and it was used mainly for bale moving and bushogging.

I remember a show on PBS called MY Brothers Keeper about two old brothers that drove an H everywhere they went. I believe they prosecuted one for killang and maybe molesting the other. I also believe he was aquitted.
