I farmall H, I bought 3 to 4 mounths ago. I've already repaced the carb with Super H carb.I'm runnig Bosch plugs and still run out of power in the 4500lb. class. Is there a simple less expecive rought than over bore and strokeing it?

Get smaller tires it will reduce your final drive ratio. A K&N air filter helps (Most large auto parts chains will order one for you.)

The H/SH carbs are the same, I believe. The plugs will get you little or nothing, unless the old ones were worn. An LP manifold (did they make an LP H? I don't even think so) would get you maybe a couple HP. If you have a distillate head and switch to a gasoline head, you will gain a couple HP. Milling the head will help, but is not recommended on this engine. In a nutshell, it is hard to get much more HP from this engine without going to more cubes and higher compression pistons.

you can wire the gover open and it will really scream. i pull a super m with a 450 motor and M&W piston kit in it and i just wire it open and I WIN in the 6500 and 7000 lbs class. Ijust hope your motor is nice and tight. make sure to hang on

How much compression do you have? which head type do you have (distalate or gas)? I have a 1945 H I changed the head from distalate to gas and it has the low gear I just got a second pulling dead weight in the 5500# class and only run about half throttle. carb. and timing adjustment can make a lot of difference also . E mail me if I can help I will be glad too.
