Hyd routing - pump to spool or res. to spool?

Looking at my Super M with live hydraulics and comparing to a friends Super H with live hydraulics.

On mine the pressure side from the pump goes right to external spool, then to the resevoir. His goes pump to resevoir and then off one of the outputs to his external spools.

Does one of these setups give better performance? I'm replacing all my hydraulic hoses, should I reroute?

thanks.

Yes the SH would not work as well for loader because he would have to lock the resevoir lever back to make the external spool work to saw dump the bucket so how can he make the lift work, with your SM tou can lift with thr res. and dump the bucket one lever at a time.

Both of us (SM and SH) have external 2 spool valves so we can run buckets and lift the loader at the same time.

You are correct, he can turn off his hydraulics with the resevoir lever and does if he has to hand crank it. I'll never hand crank so not a concern either way.

To clarify, my main question is is either way better as far as quickness of hydraulic movement, pressure, etc.

My hydraulics hesitate, not sure if its a weak pump or if it is the hose routing. I don't know enough about hydraulics to know if there is more pressure and gpm by going from the resevoir or the pump.

I did not see the (2spool valve) on first post but I wood still go with your SM set up because both of your valves the 2 spool and the valve in the resevoir are ready at all times don't have to lock one to use other as for starting the pump will have the same load on the starter either way. for your hesitation the plumping would make no difference.
