Man ,I tell ya,it doesnt get any better than this. The more I fiddle with the ole gal,the better she sounds!Put in a new set of plugs and points today, really perked her up!Need a new set of plug wires so Ill get those in the morning, and needs a new gasket for the carb, but since I have it off I will probably go ahead and rebuild it.Charging system, which wsnt working when I first got it home, has majically started working so Im not complaining one bit about it.As soon as I get off of my lazy butt and get some pics on here Ill do it!BTW,anyone ever hear of a spark plug "RANCH ROVER"?Had a set of those in it.

About the new wires.

Be sure to get wire/wires not the new type automotive wires because they won't hold up to the old system. You might have to go to an IH Dealer to find them. The Auto Parts Stores here don't even carry them anymore.

The wire/wires really make a difference especially if your system is still 6 volt.

GOOD LUCK

Wire/wires also make a big difference on hand crank magneto models. Carbon wires just done cut it unless one really loves twisting on that crank.

Thats whats on there now is the carbon type, previous owner must have put them on there. Ihave a source for the copper type that you make up and I have used those alot with very good results. On my restored M,I bought a set of the cloth wires from brillman, man sure does make it look old!if I end up restoring this H,Ill probably do the same thing.
