The four bolts holding the clutch shaft to the tranny will not turn and I am reluctant to try pounding them out. The nuts came off easily but the bolts are super tight, any ideas would be very welcome, and thanks.

Now that I have the clutch on my"H" ready to replace, can anyone tell me what kind if puller I can find to pull the pilot bearing in the flywheel. Thanks,Dick

I took these bolts out last summer to change a shaft seal. I think I invented a few new words by the time I got them out. I had to use a crowbar and a hand sledge. Persistence was what paid off for me in the end. If you go to replace these bolts be prepared to spend some money. I dont remember exactly how much they cost, but remember they weren't cheap. Good luck. RayA

Just removed the ones on my son's "H".
Use a large pipewrench to keep the clutch shaft from turning by gripping the "ears" of the shaft, not the shaft itself and let your wrench force the pipewrench against the housing. Now you have both hands available to attempt to turn the bolts with a long handled wrench or socket & breaker bar; once they break loose then they fall out. I have had to resort to heating the "ear" so the tapered bolt would let go on some other tractors.
Good luck.

The bolts have a taper and hold on really tight. I turned the nuts back on a few threads short of snug and pushed them back with a crow bar.
