My question is why paint thinner will not clean brushes used with this paint???A good bristle brush has been ruined. The paint goo's up and will not dissolve. Its equal to trying to clean with water or trying to clean a water base paint brush with thinner. Brushes have to be "Brushed" with a stiff wire brush to remove all the gooey mess. How do you professionals clean spray equipment??? A gallon can marked IH2150 Red/RougeIH B90882LF and the Aerosol cans marked IH2150 Red Rouge 2150 IH 991012N have no cleaning directions. I sprayed some on a brush and it acts the same as the gallon can. McD 04 Orchards have a lot of tin. I used Red Devil Polyurethane Oil ENAMEL--- RDQT1207 Chinese Red made by Red Devil Products, Solon Ohio inside the large fenders. It looks great and can hardley tell the difference between it & IH 2150. Besides you can clean a brush with thinner. Dont get me wrong. The Aerosol spray cans (11.5 Oz) work great and Im very happy using them. Sure beats paying $3300 & having my tractor sandblasted to smither-reens.

I've used VM&P Naptha or a straight automotive enamel reducer. I've never tried mineral spirits.
The low odor mineral spirits products are even worse. Mineral spirits is for oil base paint. The IH Rouge red is an alkyd enamel so use VM&P Naptha or enamel reducer.

I ruined a brush the same way.I found acetone will do the job.Mineral spirits (paint thinner)just makes a mess.IH Iron Guard thinner is what you need.Xylene (sp?) is I believe what it is.

I have noticed that the paint i get from IH does not clean up well with wal-mart thinner so I have been buying either the Case I-H thinner or else i use Synthol from NAPA. I don't know is this is right but it works for me.

You must be using a paint thinner/reducer formulated for a lacquer based paint or something. Common ordinary enamel thinner will do the clean up job very well. Even plain old gasoline works quite well. The 2150 paint is a simple enamel based paint, nothing exotic is needed for thinning, reducing, or clean up.
