Ken: CaseIH would still carry that switch. It would in all likely hood have to be ordered. I know I bought a fuse holder for my 140 last summer. There are other sources, that guys on here will be familiar with those. I just happen to be lucky and have a CaseIH partsman that is into old iron himself. He has an H. Some CaseIH dealerships don't seem to want to bother while others see we old iron guys as a valuable part of their business.

Hugh, I have a guy at our local Case NH dealership who loves seeing me come through the door, because he enjoys a challenge. A lot of the dealerships now have access to a network of other Case NH dealers that will locate a part even tho thay may not have the part in stock themselves. Not only does Lowell try his darndest to locate a part, but he has printed out parts assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and just about anything else I could use. Having said all this, there is another guy in the same parts department that thinks he is being highly inconvenienced by the same process, ( I think he is just in over his head) so it is all in who you ask, but the rescourses are out there, and there are people eager to help us out, even if its "out the door".

Paul: Yes and it used to be the partsman with the grey hair you made for and asked. Seems like in the past few years young blood has become interested. That in itself has been rewarding. I have been quite fortunate had a great IH parts guy in NS and now here in ON.

How did the rain treat you guy up in the Saginaw area last weekend. Some guys over here gave up on farming for the week and went to MI golfing. Said as a percentage the golf balls sunk further in the mud than the tractors.

Hugh, Today was the first day in 3 weeks that we have been able to get in the fields here. It has been awfully wet, and more rain predicted this weekend. We hardly ever worry about soy beans as usually we have plenty of time to plant soys after everything else is in, but we havent even started and we'll have until june 15th and after that if it isn't planted, it won't get planted.

Hey guys, thanks for the input. My dealer, and the parts guy is a close personal friend, says that the switch he will get when ordered is a replacement switch not like the origional one. Just trying to keep the old girl as origional as possible. I raise about 1/2 acre in garden and do all of it with the 140. Sure tastes good in the winter.

Ken: I know the fuse holder I bought was somewhat different but the exposed part looks the same. I think you will find that with the light switch as well. The behind the dash part of that light switch changed 30 years ago.
