Thanks Jimmy.I worked with my Dad to some degree on our farm,he got out of farming when I was still young, maybe 15 or 16. I realy never spent much time working the farm with him except hooking up a plow or driving the tractor up to the store for gas or something small like that.he considered my school work more important than helping him,and I guess he was right.Restoring tractors was our way of bonding on the farming end,and for the most part he taught me alot about mechanicing on these old girls. The tractor in the pic is his and I still call it his,not mine.Drove it to the graveyard this morning to put new flowers on his grave, and my brother tagged along and played ole Waylons Nashville Rebel for him. That was dads song as it said so much about him,so I thought it fitting the tractor he worked so much with and on should be caled The Nashville Rebel.I miss him alot, more than I thought I would, and as this day goes on, Ikeep thinking about what I was doing this day 5 years ago, picking out a casket, planning a funeral,it really was hard.I take alot of peace in knowing that my Dad is in a better place and is finally at peace and not suffering from all the side effects of diabetes that slowly took him away from us.EVERYBODY,get checked for this disease,it takes you little by little and causes alot of pain and hurt for those around you in the long run, take care of yourself!
