While working on my H, I sometimes can fix a worn part by drilling a hole out to a little bigger size and inserting a bushing. Rather than go to a machine shop to custom make a bushing, does anyone know who sells standard size bushing material that I can cut to length and press in?

I think you misunderstand. There are parts on my H that are worn. New parts are no longer available. I can't locate NOS parts. Used are worse than mine. Every aftermarket part I get is not made as well as the origional. Example, my throttle lever was a little worn in the hub. I got an aftermarket one and it isn't made like the origional and the quality wasn't there too. I put a bushing in my origional one and it is better than a new aftermarket one and I am good to go. A machine shop can bore out a hole then turn a custom bushing but sometimes that precision (exact center or hole size) isn't necessary and an off the shelf bushing will work just as well.

For small, light duty bushings try brass or copper tubing. If the tubing OD is a little oversized for the hole, you can press it in with a vice and redrill the ID. If the bushing is trapped, you can slot it and make it a little smaller too. If it is not quite a press fit, try a little Loctite 505 (?) - the green stuff.
