Morning! been having a battle on my hands with my 460 puller,, It is IH so I hope is ok to post my question here,, OK,, Im having trouble matiching up the carb bowls. I have the big carb for the 806, and the idle circuits are screwy in it. It is the new idle curciut for the newer 806 tractors,, Ive rebuilt it, cleaned it boiled it etc, so all is clear in the passages,, and runs super, but it wont idle unless it decided to load up and smoke real bad, only when it idles down and on the idle circuit,, does it do this,, Ive swapped out the bowls with one from an M, and it has a small metering stem in it,(old style shebler bowl) and it idles perfectly. But id like to keep that original bowl on this carb. I have idle adjustment with the M bowl, but not with the 806 bowl. can some one explainthe new style idle circuit in the 806 carb,, VS an M carb? I know the M has the throttle postion idle circuit,, but this carb does not,, has the idle adjustment above the butterfly,, have been told that the 6 cyl likes the fuel,, and it gets it,, bit the idle side is stock,, and has a manual main load adjustment, not the electric solenoid,, Has good gaskets, and desnt seem to have a vacuum leak,, sprayed carb cleaner all around to check,, nothing changed so Im wondering if Im not understanding the circuits. WHat do you think? Its on a C-263 gas. ChadS
