Jonboy. Thanks for looking! As far as what the H could handle for HP at a constant rate in the fields, well, that I cannot say, on a pulling track, thats a different story though,, I have an H that has a stroker kit in it, and it is a strong 70hp any day of the week. It would run in the fields all day long! Id say inthe fields,, the H could handle a 70 hp powerplant, but not overweighting the frame, to say,, match an 806. you would still only do, what an H can do, not what the 806 can do. but it sure was fun to do that conversion! I made sure the rear end was good, and replaced all the bearings in my 6 cyl conversion H, everything is AOK so far. Bout hthe only thing I can take away from this being a field tractor, is the radiator, and the wide front I had made for it. but, still can bolt onthe origianl 460-560 front end right on. the frame rails were wider across in the 400 series engine and frames. the frame rails still are the same bolt pattern to bolt either one on the bellhousing. just like the small block bellhousing for the 460,, the front bolster from the 560 which was a wider frame rail frame, still had parts available from other models, that could be used to make a swap. IH was like a huge rubix cube on what they did to progress and upgrade. technology,, really did not change that much as far as specifications were concerned in the bellhousing for the starters, clutches, etc. Anyways,, winter is here, got more conversions to figure out. Just a pile of parts, and a wish list. ChadS
