Ill bet that Allen or NC will be able to answer this one.I bought a 41 H last summer and it had a steel basket like thing mounted on the back beside the pto ingauge rod with one bolt through the tranny cover. It looks to have green paint under the red. And I have been told that its a grease gun holder. Is this an aftermarket part. Or is the green the sign that its that brand that hides in the grass like a frog.Or did IH use these also??? JON

It looks like this? They were sold by Central tractor. One had a decal on it that read "KOYKER" they always seem to sell on ebay. The red ones under Farmall and the green ones to you know who!

YUP. Thats what she looks like even though yours is a little straighter. So Ifin I read between the lines here between you and allen and the rest it really says paint it "RED" Say it came stock equipment on the SHTA and start opening bids at $1000.00. RIGHT JON

Without a picture, I can’t say positively, but it sounds like the grease gun holder that used to be on my M. It was just to the left (viewed from the back) of the toolbox that was mounted on the back of the tractor. I don’t know if it was IH, or aftermarket, but none the less, handy.

Jon,

That 'snap cage' grease-gun holder is an after market thing sold by everybody, everywhere. :>)

They come new as plain galvanized metal and aren't painted. Last one I bought cost something like $2.39 and I always mounted the things up along the frame rail. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. :>)
