I have a super M that seems to be stuck in a forward gear. I put it into a gear and the tractor won"t move. Put the shifter in neutral and the tractor goes. What to do ? How to do it?

I think we all have a habit of pulling them out of gear on an angle, I had a Super M and a 400 both would hang in gear always 4th or rev, after getting my self out of that habit I had no trouble with them.

Yep all reply's are correct. Been doing that job since I was in 5th grade. Depending how bad your shift lever and pin are wore you can go a long time shifting more carefully.

There is a pin through the shifter at the base take it out, lift the shifter out. Then use a pry bar to line the slides up in neutral( middle position ) then put the shifter back.

THE PROBLEM YOU,RE HAVING IS A COMMON ONE ON FARMALLS. IT WILL TAKE AOUT ABOUT FIFTEEN MINUTES TO FIX. AT THE BASE OF THE SHIFTER IS A CROSS PIN THAT HOLDS THE SHIFTER IN. YOU MAY HAVE TO KNOCK OUT A SMALL DISC THAT HOLDS THE PIN IN PLACE. AFTER PUNCHING THE PIN OUT, LIFT THE SHIFTER UP OUT OF THE HOLE. LOOK DOWN IN THE HOLE AND YOU WILL SEE THREE FLAT BARS. EACH ONE HAS A HOLE IN IT. THESE HOLES HAVE TO BE IN A STRAIGHT LINE. YOU CAN USE A SCREWDRIVER OR SMALL BAR TO LINE THEM UP. PUT THE SHIFTER BACK, AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO. GOOD LUCK, FRANK
