We have a 1970 IH 634 UK model tractor that has been on stop for about 20 years. The heater position on the key switch is faulty. A new switch has arrived from McCormick but it is of the type fitted to most tractors, MF, Ford, Case etc with an 'Off', 'Ign', 'Heat' and 'Start' positions. The wiring layout is different to the original. Can anybody out there in IH land help with whatever modifications need to be made at the switch?
Thanks in anticipation.

David P.

most of the switches have little letters on the back of the switch where the wires hook up. B = battery
S=starter I= ign and so on. your two switches should be the same on the back.

Hi Jossette,
Thanks, I'll have a look. I'm more concerned about making sure that the heater glow warning and plugs are connected correctly.

Hi again,
All plugs are OK, at least have continuity through them. Injectors have been overhauled but a little uncertain on the wiring changes for the new switch. Again, any help much appreciated.
Cheers
David
