I went to use my H today (been about 2 weeks since i started it,) NOTHING!!! I've noticed since last fall it has been hard starting, acts like the battery isn't getting charged during operation. I can run the tractor at full throttle, but the gauge doesn't move. I've put the battery charger on it, doesn't work. End up jump starting it every time. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Rich, Ground the field terminal on the generator that will make the gen charge at maximum if it is good

After replacing and cleaning all your battery connections and you still do not have any battery charge, here's BOB M's troubleshooting flow chart
for generators and regulators. You've received
good advice to replace those battery cables with
heavy cables and clean those battery terminals, spades and starter, Don't forget the ground too,
very important. Hal

Sounds like the charging system needs some work. Start by having the generator tested, any farm equipment shop or starter/alternator shop will do it for free. If the generator checks out, replace the regulator. Inspect the wiring. Like Paul said, battery cables that look fine on the outside can be totally corroded under the insulation. You wouldn't belive the difference new cables can make. Don't go with cheap automotive battery cables, get somthing meant for heavy equipment.

Rich I just went through this with mine. At the advice of some of the good folks on this board I replaced the battery cables with 0 gauge flexible welding wire. I had to get them at a place here in town that works on starters and such of heavy equipment. Mine had corroded on the inside. To the eye they didn't look bad but guess they had lot's of resistance. I also cleaned all the connections real good. On the starter and the switch and ground. Made a world of differenc on mine. As far as if it's charging or not I'll leave that up to one of the electrical gurus on here.

Rich:

Could also be a faulty fuse on the instrument panel.. this was a problem with mine years ago.

new battery to start

put a meter on the battery post to see you get 7 volts. if it is to low the gen needs replaced. if the meter goes from 3 to 9 back to 4 then need a regulator
