I am in the process of piecing together of what is left of the 3 point fast hitch for my 300 Utility. What I have to work with is the fast hitch arms that attach to the bottom of the power take off unit mounted with swivel ball type sockets and the 1” hydraulic lifting arm connection. One side of the lifting arm has a connection device that has been welded to a chunk of iron that will connect to one fast hitch arm with a bolt. This would lift the one fast hitch but does not seem right. It seems that there should be turn buckles or something besides a chunk of iron. If there we ball socket mounted turn buckles what would keep the hitch from swinging side to side. I did not see any place to tie a chain to prevent this from swinging. The picture is before I got it out of the berries, but it may help show what I am describing. Does anyone have a picture of how this should be put together?

Thanks,

Joe, the close-up pic that "scruffyia" sent is a 300U fast hitch, it's what yours should look like. The top two pics are 350 or 330 utilities and are much different from yours. The right side does hook to a soild arm, many have been broken and welded up. The arm that attaches right side is a two piece unit. You put pins through both to limit side to side movement. The left side should have a gear box and screw assembly(leveling screw) which levels the hitch. Both sides fasten much the same at bottom except the left side has no ball socket.

Thanks, Makes since now. Mine has been modified from original and the fast hitch ends have been cut and mounted to the rear frame just in front of the power take off unit rather than under the gear box. It should work the same as you say once I add the gear jack screw for leveling. Thanks again.

Thanks, yes it does. It looks like the welded chunk of iron on the right side to the hitch is ok. This must keep the thing from swinging. The other side looks like it might have a turn buckle. How did you find a picture so fast?

Well, I know what I'm getting when my M finally wears out (assuming I'm still alive when that happens...). I liked searching threw all the pics, a 300 or 350 utility would be perfect for my mowing and such!

thanks,
mark

another pic I found on the net. Obviously not a 300 utility, just a 300, so the top of the hitch is different, but the bottom two points is the same I believe.
