Had a tire guy come out to replace a tire and rim on my 400. She went flattern a pancake and tore the side rib on the tire.
Not a good year for me so far. Rain or have to work when every thing is running. When I get time some thing breaks. 1st the pto now the tire. Oh well thats why I do this for fun.

Spent the whole day Sat trying to remove the rim on my 400. square bolt on the inside of the rim foild me. Just spun and spun. resisted all attampts to hold her tight. I wont go into all the things I tried. Lets just say the next 1 inch square tire wrench I see on Ebay is mine. Get away!!!
I also want one of those air bead breakers the tire guy had. Took him all of 2 min to get the tire off the rim.
Kind of sick my all day ordeal turns into a 10 min job with the right tools.

Kelly,

There is a tire bead breaker tool that you can buy that clamps on your tractor rim. You leave the rim right on the tractor and its easier to change them that way, since you are using the whole tractor for leverage to pull the tire off after the bead is broken. It works really slick even on the biggest rear tractor tire. Its called a "bead cheata". Shoup Manufacturing sells them for about $140.00. There are probably other places that carry them also.

Kelly, That is Par for my course here. The right tool will make a 30 minute job out of an all day affair. Mot to mention skinned knuckles, bangged fingers and such.
The up side is you should be able to milk the situation for all is is worth, in sympthy from you wife! LOL

Yep them things work good. I have one I pulled out of some ones junk pile years ago. Worked well till this past year, I need to open it up again and replces a couple O-rings just have got around to it with all the other toys to play with.
