My H will start to miss some times, it runs rich, when baling this past summer you would see a blackish haze from the stack, if u turned in the main jet screw to eliminate the black smoke u wouldn't have enough power to run a 14T baler in a lite crop of hay, also 5th gear cannot get rolling at a stand still have to start off in 4th and quickly shift into 5th and hope for no incline in the road. (power wise it sucks) I have changed the plugs, i believe they were D15 champions, rebuilt the carb (last winter) with a new throtle shaft, changed plug wires (from caseih) 3 weeks ago, played with the timing ( magneto), have good fuel flow out drain of carb, washed out fuel tank about 6 years ago, set the valves last winter and put in valve seals, it is a FBH serial # (distolate engine) When this thing starts to miss you get a air rushing sound from the intake, rpm drops, pull the choke out quickly it will rev up a bit and run fine for a bit then do it all over again when it feels like it.It has also shot flame a foot high above the stack a couple of times, i had to replace 1 spark plug 3 weeks ago after i changed the plug wires (quite firing) but still misses when it feel like it.Couldn't find anything wrong with cap and roter, reset the points 3 weeks ago also, i want to pull the intake apart to see if the wire mesh is plugged up in the air cleaner. Ran it with the valve in the exhaust manifold in all positions when in the H position it took the frost off of the carb on a cool evening, so what gives?
