Has anyone painted the belt part of a belt pully if you did what color? I thought maybe just natural? This is off smd.

Hello, Either black or natural would look better I never did like to see the material{paper area} of a pulley painted red that includes the inside as well as outside.

I painted the one on my H flat black, only because of the oil stain on one side, the one on my M was solid steel, so that was painted red. The one on my MH 101 Senior was restored and I left natural, but I clearcoated the steel face band to keep from rusting..., the inside was painted red

I paint them with clear shellac. seems to help stiffen them up.
