I just bought an IH 686 with a D310 engine. The previous owner says the torque is stuck is high. Is this possible. I have only heard of them geting stuck in low.

I am planning on using this tractor around the farm and pulling it at the local tractor pull. Just wondered what you thought of the 686s.

Thanks. Cory.

Well Cory they don't get "stuck". It is common for the low side of the TA to go out and leave you with only the high or fast side. It is a lot less common for the high side to go out. Your TA is out. You will have to repair it if you can't live with just the high side.
