I see where the tractor vet explained what happens when you pull it to start it. I am not sure what you meant by the handle going forward. Can I pull my 300 if I ever need, to start it? Thanks Tony

As IaGary indicates, no problem as he described.
The issue with a TA is to not over speed them. This requires going more than 30% faster in any gear than the tractor would go in that gear. The TA spins at a higher speed than the engine in that case, and can come unglued (possible bodily injury, and definite issues with the internal parts) If you hear it whining like a jet starting, you are doing something wrong.

Yes you can but TA lever must be forward "direct" or the rear end will free wheel and not spin the motor. The same holds true when going down hill with the lever back the engine will not hold the tractor back until you put the TA lever in the forward position.
Hope this makes scense to you.
