Have basiscally reworked lift system on one of my 140's. Replaced pump, Pressure is good. Put in a lift kit all new o-rings etc. System is very clean there is no grit anywhere which would impede flow of hydraulic fluid. Lift works alright with everything except disk which is about 500 pds. Picks it up ok when fluid is cold. When fluid warms up it strains pump. On my other 140 it handles disk ok. Only difference between two one has helper spring on left side of tractor and other one does not. I have the trunnion collars on both which are supposed to provide little more leverage to lift as well. When disk is struggling to come up I can put one arm on disk and push up and it raises right up. It only needs maybe just little boost and It will be fine. Is anyone familiar with this helper spring attachment and could approximate how much help it would provide in way of extra boost to lift. If it would only give it 25 pds extra lift capacity. I think it would solve. I do not want heat pump and harm. I appreciate help. I have done everything I know to do. And was told that the helper spring would likely solve for me. I appreciate help...

Avery, I think you have the answers to all your questions right in front of your face:

1. The 140 with the helper spring lifts the disk okay.
2. The 140 that doesn't have the spring will lift the disk okay if you give it just a little push.

Logical conclusion: The helper spring gives it that little push it needs to lift the disk.

500 pounds is a lot to lift for these touch control units.
