When the new replacement engine blocks for A's and B's were last available what price were they, and when was the supply used up?

I think IH serviced all the 113 blocks with the Super A blocks after it came out. I have seen alot of tractors with a plate to cover the hydraulic pump hole. Here in Michigan and I would assume other states where the climate gets cold a lot of people forgot to drain their tractors (before permanent antifreeze was popular) and got caught with cracked blocks. IH only had to cast 1 block instead of 2. My thoughts only...Fred
