I bought a W6 to pull with but I'm not sure of the weight. I looked on the Tisco web site but the infomation doesnt seem right. They say it weighs 5500 lbs and a farmall M weighs 6600 lbs which doesn't seem right because the W6 has more cast iron on it than a farmall M. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

An M will not weigh 6600# without adding a lot of weight, in fact, as shipped from the factory an M would weigh closer to 5,000# or less. The W6 might be close to 5,500#, but I think it will weigh less.

Take it to your local Co-op and weigh it, or a truck stop that weighs trucks, or if your pulling place has scales, there. That's the only way you will ever know. Easy to get them up to 5500, though.

I'm normally not much of a tractor pull fan, but I own both an M and a W6. Both run well and look not so good. Often wondered which would out pull which. When the bouncing a jumping started I would prefer to be on the W6. I'll likely get kicked off this forum for saying so, but all things considered I prefer the W6 as a tractor unless agility is a factor. Pretty hard to fault either one.
