I need to drop the hydralic pump from a Super H. I've done it years ago but can't what to do. I know I have to do the following: remove the external couplings though the torgue tube, pull the connecting shaft between pump and clutch assembly and remove bolts holding the pump to the frame.

Now I'm lost. Does the the pump slide to thje rear on a splined shaft out of the engine before I drop the pump? I don't recall having to remove any bolts toher than those holding the pump to the frame.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mike

The belly pump is driven from the counter shaft on the transmission. Pull a couple of cotter pins out of the drive coupling and you can remove the coupling. Unscrew the 3 pipes that extend out through the torque tube, remove the control lever, remove the fill cap, and then you can remove the four bolts that hold the pump in. Be careful, the pump is very heavy and awkward. You need a floor jack and probably a helper.

Thanks for the reply.

I do remember it being heavy. The last one I helped replace, I was the floor jack and held it up until my uncle put the bolts in. I also remember we did not catch the lift mechanism and had to remove the pump and reallign so the lift rod caught the pump correctly.
