A neighbor bought a cub to cultivate with. It doesn't have cultivators, but it does have a 1-pt hitch. Are the cultivators the same as for a regular cub or are they different because of the 1 pt hitch?

That covers a lot of areas in that question. Take a look at the cub site for the manuals, namely the "tool bar", "144 cultivator", and the "fast hitch" manuals.

Shouldnt be a problem with the front gangs, lift arms, and stuff. Back will have to be re-arranged if he decides to use the cultivators in the rear.

On our 140 we leave the front gangs hooked up all the time with the fast hitch on there.

He'll probably want to have the rears to loosen the dirt back up after the rear wheels pack it down.
