I have a friend with a Farmall Cub tractor, he is in search for distributor. He lives in north Florida does anybody know where he might find one or the complete rebuild kit for his?

Even if the bushing is worn, redoing the bushing is probably still the cheap/easy way out. Buy a used one, you may still need to rebuild it. Fix what you've got and at least you will know what you have.

Distributors from other models are nearly the same as the one for the Cub. However, different engines have different spark advances. You really want the advance to be the same after you are done.

What is wrong with his distributor?

If all it needs is points, condensor, rotor, and cap, then he doesn't need a new distributor. All he needs is those parts, and those can be purchased at any CaseIH dealer, any NAPA auto parts store, any CarQuest auto parts store, any Tractor Supply store, and hundreds of places online.

If the shaft is all wobbled out, then okay, he needs a different distributor. Any distributor off of a Cub, A, B, C, H, M, Super A, Super C, Super H, Super M, 100, 200, 300, 400, 130, 230, 330, 350, 450, 140, 240, 340 gasoline tractor will work. Just be careful with the used ones or you're likely to end up with something worse than you already have.

i se em all the time on e-bay-50 to 70 dollars. go to e-bay, type in farmall cub and check it out. also this site will probably have rebuild kits. RP
