Hi I need tires for my A that I'm ging to pull with. What is the largest/widest tire I can get on a 1945 A.

I may be able to trade my lift all system and sicke bar for a set of tires. Anybody know anything about lift all lift systems and what they are worth and is that a good trade.

I have a B and a A with 11.2x24's on a 10in rim and the tire has a square look to it and with about 12lbs of air the tread is flat all the way across. I wouldn't mind pulling against a little allis B or C just for the heck of it. If I get beat I gave it a shot!

Mark: I agree, unless he matches the tires to the proper rims, he may as well stay home. Every one is going to beat him. I don't do much pulling, however the one I did go to I left my 130 with 12.4x24 home and took the SA with 9.5x24. I took everyone in my weight class, and was coming alwfully close to those SC, 200 and 230, even gave one guy with a H quite a chalange. I've got a set of 9.5x24 Generals on my SA, two more treads around the circumference than most 24" tires. Both my 130 and 140 have 12.4x24. On hard ground, and I consider most tractor pull tracks I've seen hard ground, I'll take those 9.5 anyday.

My brother does pickup pulling with an S-10. The pulls he goes to allow the winner of a class to pull in the next heavier class. At one pull he won the first three classes and found himself up against Dodge, Ford and Chevy diesels. He did not place at the bottom of the pack in that one. I'll tell you there were some red faced diesel owners.

I think pulling has more to do with skill than equipment, so he probably isn't going to win anyhow.

I had fun at a show this summer! I pulled against 3 C's (1 a Super)a Super A and a WC allis. I put about 4ft on the WC(I think the motor was alittle tired)and 7ft on the next closest tractor! The B was Hooked real good and 30HP helped a bunch too!

I've got a pair of 12.4's on my B,I don't think you can go much wider than that on stock rims.I don't like the looks of them, too wide IMHO,but their in too good of shape to replace just for looks.I would be willing to trade for some 9.5's in the same condition. As far as pulling your A,I think the little Allis' will eat you alive,They do around here anyway. John.

Joe: Your a dreamer, the wide tires plus you'll need wider rims or it wont pull the hat off your head. Tires and rims are worth 5 times as much as the hand lift and sickle mower.
