I heard on the radio today (didn"t get the singer"s name) but some of the words were "son of a third generation farmer going down the highway 5 mph on my International Harvester". I really thought it was a good song and will continue to look for it. In the beginning they have the sound waves of the International Harvester starting up and running.

I heard it and liked it.As far as him not being a farmer,I bet George Jones never made White Lightnin either, but he sang about it,and Dolly Parton never shacked up with some old guy named Joshua, but She sang about it.Lighten up People!

And, I'll bet most farmers have never operated a "puh-puh-puh-puh-plower".

I don't mind the rest of the song, but line grates on me like fingernails on a chalkboard!

Yea, it was discussed many time here. When the subject was first brought up some time back, many went crazy over it, now, just because he isnt a farmer, he gets knocked over the song. I kinda have to agree he ruined the whole song with the video, but I still enjoy the song. Hey! ITS ABOUT INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER, NOT JOHN DEERE!!!!! !!!We finally got one!!!!!

Out here in Nebraska there's a "John Deere Polka" making the rounds with the band making sounds very similar to an "A" John Deere. Can't even name the band, offhand.

For longevity, right now I'm living on a farm my great-grandfather bought in 1904. A couple of years ago, my sister and I recieved an award for the farm being in the same family for over 100 years.

As a side note, my great-grandparents had ten children and outlived 5 of them. It truly was "survival of the fittest" in those days.

It was discussed here a few weeks ago. Some complained that Craig isn't a farmer so why listen to it.

I liked it.

Craig: When is a country boy not called a farmer? You can always take the boy out of the country, but not necessarily take the country out of the boy!! I am really the fourth generation of six generations. My great grandfather"s farm has been labeled as "historical" where US 27 highway and the D and M Railroad has gone through. They put a colvert under the road so cattle could get from one side to the other. The Thrashing machine still sets where it was put to rest fifty years ago in the field.
