Front mounted shredder on M

Just wondering if anyone has managed to pull this one off.

I've got two old drag shredders I'm going to wed and create a bigger shredder but I was thinking how nice it would be if you could put them in front and thus not have to run over some of the grass before trying to mow it.

Trick would be the drive link from the belt pulley. Either a chain with generous idler, driven gear on a common shaft with the two shredder gear boxes. Or could use two 90 degree boxes with telescoping shaft.

Here is one that I found looking around...

Its not the same one as what I had in mind, but you can get the general idea from looking at it.
You could probably rig up a yoke of some sort using the frame rails to hold another U-joint as a pivot, and then take it from there to the shredders.

I know that IH made a belly mount sickle bar that would fit the Farmall M/MTA/Etc... One of them used a big belt that had to be turned and twisted, but the other had a gearset that mounted to the PTO. It was a chain drive that drove a PTO type shaft for the mower. Maybe you could find something like that and just put a longer shaft on it to run the shredders up front.

Thanks.

I'll look for a picture of that.
